The Matthews Community Farmers' Market is the largest and most diverse growers-only farmers' market in the greater Charlotte area. Customers buy food directly from local farmers - that's as fresh, tasty and nutritious as it gets. The market provides the community with locally raised foods and, in turn, market goers help preserve the tradition of small farms in the area.

Saturday's Recipe
Za'atar Dusted Beef Tenderloin over Fattoush with Yogurt Cheese and Pomegranate Molasses
Lemon Dressing Ingredients: 1 small garlic clove 1 lemon Juice ½ lemon zest 1/8 tsp. kosher salt ½-3/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree
Za’atar Spice Ingredients: ½ c. shallots-minced ¼ c. sumac ¾ c. toasted sesame seeds ½ c. Italian parsley chopped ½ c. thyme
Directions: Combine all ingredients
Fattoush Ingredients: 1 large tomato-sliced 1 shallot-finely diced 1 cucumber-peeled, seeded, and sliced ½ c. halved black olives 1 pita bread-toasted and broken into bite sized pieces 1 tbl. mint-chopped 1 tbl. parsley-chopped 1 tbl. cilantro-chopped 1 oz. yogurt cheese
Directions: Combine all ingredients and serve immediately
